Fundraiser

Ladies NightOn Thur . May 17/07 , a 'Ladies Night In'  Fundraiser will be held on behalf of 6 St. Joseph House, a local not-for-profit organization run by volunteers. The house is responding to the challenges of homelessness by providing support and mentoring programs for those who have traveled difficult roads. Only 85 tickets are available for $150.00, with tax receipt for $100. Toronto catering companies will supply exquisite food, cocktails and wine for the evening. Contact Heather Clouston for tickets at (416) 962-5445.

A PhD in Yorkville's '60's scene: a call for interviews & photos 

Stuart Henderson is a PhD Candidate and Teaching Fellow with the Department of History at Queen's University. Stuart has been working hard for 5 years on his doctoral thesis on Yorkville's village years. He would be pleased to hear from anyone who was in Yorkville during those years or who has photos of Yorkville during that period. You can reach Stuart by email at the Yorkville Project.

                    Summer of Love

Summer of Love (1967): a call for memorabilia 

A key part of the Summer of Love festival produced by Martin Robertson (see "People of Yorkville" article), scheduled for Sat. June 2/07 , is a display of memorabilia from the period. If you have any posters, photos, records, clothing or other articles that you would like to include in the display for the day please contact Martin by email. The purpose of this initial contact is to help Martin plan for the number of items to expect. Email Martin Robertson with your input.
